rsz bob probert memorial ride1The Lone Wolf Clubhouse is a proud supporter of the Bob Probert Memorial Ride. We want to show how YOUR support is improving Cardiac Care in the Windsor/Essex County community!

rsz bob probert memorial ride1From motor bikes to exercise bikes, this February 24th 2016 marked the official Grand Opening of the new Rehabilitation and Wellness Centre at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare. This state of the art, 10,000 square foot, $1.7 million facility was made possible entirely through fundraising events and philanthropic donations!

Special thanks to all of the dedicated motorcyclists who braved the torrential rains at last year’s Bob Probert Ride, together we raised $97, 928.00 and purchased all new exercise equipment for the new Rehabilitation Centre.

The Rehabilitation and Wellness Centre supports 500 patients each year who have survived a cardiac event. Improving their health through medically supervised exercise sessions, food, nutrition and lifestyle coaching, In addition to cardiac patients, this brand new facility will allow expanded support to the bariatric and outpatient rehabilitation patients.

rsz bob probert memorial ride2Legendary NHL tough guy and motorcycle enthusiast Bob Probert died after collapsing while on a boat with his family on Lake St. Clair near his home. Probert was rushed to a Windsor Regional Hospital, but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. He was 45 and is survived by his wife, Dani, and their four children. Probert, who spent his 17-year career with the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks was known as one of the NHL's most feared enforcers and fighters; and he racked up 3,300 penalty minutes in 935 NHL games. He also had 384 points. A third-round pick of the Red Wings in 1983, he was also voted to the Campbell Conference All-Star team in 1988, the only time he received such an honor.

Since 2010, The Bob Probert Ride was created in his honour, and at the same time we are CHANGING LIVES TOGETHER!!

On behalf of the Bob Probert Ride Committee, The Bob Probert Family (Dani, Brogan, Tierney, Jack and Declyn), riders, sponsors, volunteers and myself thank you for continuing to make this event such a huge success each year.

Save the date for this year’s Ride – June 26, 2016!
