BIKERS DOWN SUPPORT this week's update Featured

BIKERS DOWN SUPPORT this week's update	BIKERS DOWN SUPPORT this week's update

Bikers Down SupportGood day to all reading our weekly editorials.

We are doing our best to support the motorcyclists we are made aware of in our beautiful Picture Province of NEW BRUNSWICK.
We recently in the past 2 months have started to really establish ourselves in the province and have added members to our Executive Commitee plus we have established a chapter of BIKERS DOWN SUPPORT covering the Northwest of NB. Our new VP is situated in the the NW of NB and Friday passed a donation on behalf of BDS to an injured passenger.
The young lady was injured in Aug when the bike she was a passenger on was cut off by an uninsured 24 year old that fled the scene. The operator of the bike received minor injuries and was back to work shortly after the accident with no hospital time. But unfortunatly his girl freind had major injuries to both legs and her left wrist. She had the cast removed from her wrist last week however both legs remain in bandages and casts. Her boyfreind gets my greatest respect. He has stayed with her in the hospital every night since the accident leaving for work from her hospital room in the morning.
What did the hit and run driver get? A ridiculous $2000 fine while she is still in hospital and faces months of physio if not years and he had NO INSURANCE!!! Amazing how little motorcyclist safety & lives are worth to the judicial system
On a side note yours truly took his wife away for a weekend visit with freinds non BDS related. After all these years on earth I finally tried fried turkey. That was soooooo good thanx Jake u are a master of the fried turkey. Thanx to both you and Lisa for the invite. As always I made a few new freinds and spent a great evening with old freinds.
BDS is not done for 2019 yet. We should get the proofs of our 2020 calendar by tomorrow and find out what the price for next year's calendar will be. Our calendar is printed on heavy card stock suitable fof framing. The pages are bound by plastic coil binding so no rust stains or staple holes and the pages will not wrinkle in a damp location. Yes we will mail anywhere in Canada & International we just add postage costs to thd calendar price.
BDS is working on a few other things for the rest of this year. More news on what's in the works when we have some things confirmed.
By the way BDS will be at SWIM N INK at the SAINT JOHN, NB Exhibition bldg this Saturday, Oct 5 if your nearby drop in and look for the big red BDS banner. BE SAFE 'til next week
