Corner BrookCornerbrook this morning. Legion members happy we stopped in to say hi on our way back.

Lewisporte

Gander to Cornerbrook with a side tour of Lewisporte. Beautiful day to ride!

Team BC traditionally stops in the town of Valemount, and each year the local community news channel does a video of our visit.

I share this with you now, and thanks to Team BC for making this year a success and partaking in the video.

Message from the National Chair:

This brings to a close the 2017 MPNMR. It has been my privilege to lead this event for the past two years as the National Chair.

Throughout this time, my Team and I made the effort to build upon the success of previous years by introducing on-line registration, on-line sponsorship and coast to coast itineraries. Somethings we got right, and some things we could have done better, but in all things we gave it our best.

We also tried to really reach out to the civilian community and let people know that all are welcome to join us in our adventure while raising funds and awareness for the Military Police Fund for Blind Children. Our success in this was realized as 2017 saw more National Riders (8) than any other year.

There are many different ways to measure the success of this event. The number of riders, the amount of money raised, etc. Personally I believe that my number one responsibility was to ensure all riders made it to their destination safely, while being properly housed and fed throughout their adventure. Due to the efforts of the National Team and Representatives all across the country, this was accomplished.

In closing, I wish Lamont French and team 2018 the best of success with the 10th Annual Relay. I'd also like to say I'm grateful to those who supported me, thankful to those who questioned me and I'm now looking forward taking next year off from the Relay. I'll see you all again in 2019.
