A few months back, City Council in Saskatoon went ahead with enacting a noise bylaw after the third time at the table. The major difference is that the Saskatoon bylaw includes all forms of vehicles but still will use the J2825 test with regards to motorcycles.
Last October we brought you a blog regarding Richard Jones of Fort Saskatchewan and his desire to sue everyone under the sun over what he perceives as a noisy motorcycle issue. He felt he had a charter case stating it is his "charter guaranteed right to the peaceful enjoyment of his garden". We obviously didn't agree and have been patiently awaiting how this would all unfold in the courts. Click here for the initial blog.
