Bikers and humbleness is there such a thing?

cross greyWe as bikers humble ourselves before our brothers, but how about other people? Would you open a door at a store for a strange woman or even some dude going the same way as you?

Being humble and making ourselves less important than others is noticed in the heavens.

When on our bikes when a cage gets impatient at a stoplight and we know it are we willing to let it go even in front of our brothers or do we immediately go on the defensive and start committing our own piece of stupid? Before we go any further we must know what it means to be humble before we can put this principle into action.

Does being humble or less important show weakness or affect the fact we are men or bikers?

No. Bikers are not WHO we are, it is what we are.

Jesus humbled himself when he washed the feet of the disciples in John 13:14

“IF THEN, YOUR LORD AND MASTER, HAVE WASHED YOUR FEET; YE ALSO OUGHT TO WASH ONE ANOTHER'S FEET.”

This teaching shows that although he is a king, a savior and the son of God he is no more important than the disciples or anyone else. In order to lead you must learn to serve first and this is a principle taught in the motorcycle world during prospecting.

I do feel that all should serve each other from the president on down to the prospect.

Yes I am going to be famous for walking the fine line of getting right to the edge of the politics

but this is for example and context.

In Proverbs 29:23 “A man's pride shall bring him low; but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.”

Don't be so proud that you earned your colors that you forget how hard, how long and all the work you did to EARN them.

Remember is it easier to earn your colors, it is harder to keep them.

When you ride with a club, humble yourself in spirit and be a servant, not only to your club brothers but to the public.

Open the door for the elderly; help the reach for things in the grocery store, help them across the street.

Our mission is to put a more positive light on a community that is tarnished and the government hates.

We must band together, setting aside our differences and put this subculture, this brotherhood into a more positive light. If Jesus can do these things; so can we, and so we should.

God bless you all.
